A lecture on “Google Summer of Code” jointly taken by (Ex. GSOCers) Bhargav Golla (in Apache Software Foundation) and G. Karthik (in Crowdsourcing Biology) organized by Google Developers Group, BITS Pilani.
Things to be covered in the session:
Everything from motivation, incentives, how to apply and prepare for GSoC to completion of the project. Projects completed by the speakers and their overall experience.

GTUG-BITS Pilani comes up with Hands-on session on Python on 28th of Feb. It will be taken by Sreeraj, SDET instructor for Python Course last semester.
Just like Hands-on session on Go, this will also have basics of Python and of course will slowly progress towards complex things.
We request participants to get Python installed on their laptops.

GTUG-BITS Pilani is coming up with the first event for the semester, a Hands-on session on HTML5 by Raghavendra Tungaturthi, an SDET, BITS Pilani Instructor. One can find the agenda of the session attached.
Interested students should bring their own laptops with extension boxes as well. One has to make sure that he has a latest browser installed and also have a text editor like Notepad++ pre-installed on one's laptop.
This session will let you find yourself getting acquainted with HTML5 and get to know why it is no longer a web designer but a web developer.

GTUG-BITS Pilani chapter's second event is a Hands on session on Google's own programming language, Go. Ramakrishna Reddy will take up introduction to Go, basic types, interfaces, communication and concurrency in Go. All participants are requested to bring their laptops.
